ParkatmyHouse
ParkatmyHouse, an innovative online marketplace designed to connect available parking spaces with people looking to park, “in cooperation with BMW i” was announced as the second strategic invest from BMW i Ventures in London, on Thursday, July 14th, 2011.
Established in London in 2006, ParkatmyHouse was created to connect home and business owners interested in earning money by renting their space with drivers in need of a convenient, safe and cost-effective place to park. The service has since then been established across the UK, with now over 100,000 registered drivers, and providing parking in over 10,000 unique locations.
Location: Available throughout the UK. An international rollout in cooperation with BMW i is currently underway.

The new Car Sharing Service from BMW i, MINI and SIXT
Get a car whenever and wherever you need it. You don't have to own a car, simply pay per use; you're billed by the minute. The parking in public areas and fuel costs are inclusive. You can find available cars easily via our website, mobile App or on the street.
Locations: Available in Munich, Berlin and Düsseldorf, with plans for an international expansion.

MyCityWay
Useful for locals and visitors alike, MyCityWay is an interactive tool for urban exploration and discovery on your mobile device.
Bringing together more than 50 local mobility apps in one interface, MyCityWay is a one-stop, location-wise platform to discover, connect, experience and share. Acting in real-time, and driven by user-profile info, the app is now available for 40 cities worldwide.
Locations: 40 global cities including New York City, San Francisco, London, Toronto. Rollout for many more global cities coming soon.

BMW i Goes NYC.
For the second year, the City of New York is improving the way it provides helpful real-time information to its citizens.
The NYC BigApps 2.0 Competition will reward the developers of the most creative and best implemented App. The Apps must have an impact and value to the New York Citizen delivering information from the City of New York's NYC.gov Data Mine.
"BMW i is proud to support the NYC BigApps 2.0 Competition", says Ian Robertson, Board Member of BMW AG for Sales and Marketing (read bio). "We established the Venture Capital Company BMW i Ventures to have a closer link with groundbreaking mobility solutions, right from the start. We chose to base the company in the Big Apple because this great city offers insights into the mobility solutions our customers require. It gives us access to top talent in creative fields." Ian Robertson adds.
And BMW i ventures will continue to invest in this area. Its first strategic investment MyCityWay was one of last year's finalists and has now matured into a service with more than 1.5 Million active users across the globe.
Update: Congratulations to Roadify, first prize winner of NYC BigApps 2.0 - the iPhone App alerts users to the latest subway, bus, or driving conditions by providing real-time updates from commuters in addition to official transit data.
